I’ is a thought believed. It is no more real or unreal than any other thought.

‘I’ is like a mote in the eye that obscures the ability to see eternity.

‘I’ is the narrowest letter in the English alphabet, yet the truth of the universe can hide behind it.

I am my body. I am my thoughts. I am my emotions. I am my beliefs. I am … All these statements believed obscure the direct recognition of your true essence.

Look closely at what it is that notices the body, that sees thoughts, emotions, beliefs, etc. Notice the silent consciousness, which is before the thoughts, I am this; I am that.

St Francis of Assisi pointed out, “What you are looking for is what is looking.” Stop and notice, that which is looking for it … IS what you are.

You are stillness even in motion – you are boundless consciousness.

You are space and before space – you are boundless consciousness.

You are bliss – you are boundless consciousness.

You are life – you are boundless consciousness.

You are before thought – you are boundless consciousness.

You are during thought – you are boundless consciousness.

You are after thought subsides – you are boundless consciousness.

You are eternal – you are boundless consciousness.

You are what is reading this right now – you are boundless consciousness.

You are eternal, you are now – you are boundless consciousness.

You are nothing and you are everything – you are boundless consciousness.

You are prior to boundless consciousness.

When you read these statements, are you experientially aware of what is unchanging? That is what you are. Ask yourself, “From what perspective or state of consciousness would these statements be my direct experience of truth?”
