Mauna means Silence. We can consider silence as the absence of noise, and that is, obviously, one form of silence. The Silence which is Mauna, however, is not silence as opposed to noise. Mauna is the Silence beyond the opposites of relative phenomenon. It is the Silence that contains the potential for all noise. Mauna is the Silence between thoughts. Mauna is a pregnant Silence. It is the Silence of absolute potentiality. Mauna is the sound of one hand clapping. Mauna is pure awareness. Mauna is the essence of everything. Stop . . . appreciate Silence as your essence.
