The search for Truth often begins and ends with the search for the perfect teacher.

Adyashanti has often said, “If you want a perfect teacher pick a dead one.”  Dead teachers often have all their apparent shortcomings stripped away by time and selective memory.

Living teachers, even those fully established in recognition as Truth, will occasionally believe thoughts, if just for a moment. Christ, Ramana, Nisargadatta, and Buddha all had moments where they believed their thoughts. Our living teacher, Sharon Landrith, is no exception to this apparent bane of humanity (as well as, us), and is the first to point this out. By an absolute standard, she is not perfect, but she is perfect for us. Sharon guided us in innumerable ways and repeatedly pointed us to our divine essence, our primordial, nonlocalized, undifferentiated Being. For us, Sharon is a perfect human teacher leading us to the Perfect Teacher.

The Perfect Teacher is the one that has never been born and will never die. The Perfect Teacher is that divine essence, the eternal substanceless substance of life. The Perfect Teacher is what we are, always have been, and always will be.
